Wur is a lizardfolk cleric of Dagon for the Makaid Tribe. He is under the service of the chief and the chief's son, Miz. His mates are Den, Vyk, Nah and Yla. He has seven surviving hatchlings.

Biography


Early life

The Exodus

Creatures moving up from the deep sent the Makaid tribe from their underground homeland. They kept ahead of the deep things, pushing up towards the surface ever more. They eventually came to a sizable subterranean lake and the tribe settled there for a time.

The soft-skins

The tribe came into contact with a town of soft skin humanoids when one rowed a boat across the lake to the Makaid village. A treaty was set up between Miz Chiefson and the leader of the soft skin town, Bannis-chief. The tribe moved to an artificial lagoon near the town of Ardent Hollow.

Weeks later, Makaid scouts spied several grimlocks (draconic: morgk) moving towards the settlements. The chief bade Wur to go speak with Bannis-chief and warn him of the danger. Wur and two escorts went into town and received several gifts from passers by (including a fine dagger made by a local blacksmith). He spoke to the soft skin chief, his grippli servant Kepril, and was introduced to the elite warriors of the town, Mephistopheles, Lewin, Taz and Kevington Weatherborough. Wur saw that the group did not have an accompanying priest and volunteered to accompany them to battle.

The battle was fought and though Mephisto and Taz came close to death, the grimlocks were defeated.

Three days later, Wur was asked by Bannis-chief to join his new companions to the neighboring town of Ash and present their leader, Ulrich-Chief, with a tithe in the form of a locked chest. Wur joined and brought two juveniles to carry the load. On their journey, a section of the floor gave way and deposited the group (sans juveniles) several hundred feet below. They encountered zombies and an underground lake where an aboleth and its skum live. The group skirted the lake and wandered until they came across a dead end, but when they turned around to try another avenue, a mysterious cloaked figure (later named Kiran) spoke with them and activated hidden runes on the cave wall, opening the tunnel to them. The group thanked him and walked on toward Ash.

Once in Ash, the group made their way through the crowd as one local merchant saw them and ran off, scared. Taz tried to follow him, but lost him in the crowd. They made their way to the dwelling of Ulrich, the door being answered by his servant, Inyela the Axiomite. She brought the group to a parlor where Ulrich was waiting for them. The lord stood up to greet them, revealing his seven foot tall figure. They handed over the chest and had small talk. Afterwards, Kevington spoke with a local and became embroiled with a plot involving dopplegangers.
