Once Upon a Time in East Hub Village (Mura Higashi Chushin wa Mukashimukashi; 村東中心では昔々) is a Legend of the Five Rings campaign set in 441 during the White Stag Era in east-hub-village. Major factions will be gaijin (both Thrane and Merenae), ronin, yakuza, the Crane Clan (Daidoji in perticular) and the Mantis Clan (Gusai family). Agasha Kasuga will feature heavily and there is a good chance the players may be founding members of the Tortoise Clan.
A single man having come on the gaijin ships will claim to be from the Unicorn Clan (most likely Moto), and he has a secret mission he is driven to complete.

Red River Army
The Red River Army serve as yoriki for the village. They are a sizable force made to serve not only as police, but as a militia against possible hostile gaijin action.
- Ryuei; Yoriki under Seppun Hasu. Ryuei is a Hantei, born of a forgotten line, but just as legitimate. He has a dark fate, will give a name to an oni. He is fearsome when fighting, has no mercy. He knows the Bayushi Violator technique.
